They are quickly becoming one of the real automotive powerhouses with Jaguar Land Rover continuing to surge up the sales charts.

The UK car brands have just reported 604,009 total sales in the 2016/17 UK financial year, that figure a full 16% up on the previous financial year result.

It was the first-time Jaguar Land Rover has ever sold more than 600,000 vehicles within the financial year period.

13% growth in global Jaguar Land Rover sales across the first three months of this calendar year helped break through the 600,000 vehicle record.

While March sales reached 90,838 units, up 21% on March 2016.

Across the first three months of the year in Australia, Jaguar sales climbed 20.6%, although Land Rover sales locally slipped 3.5%.

The Land Rover slow down being blamed on customers holding off on a Land Rover Discovery purchase until the all-new model arrives in the next couple of months.

However, a 2.2% increase in Land Rover sales in March 2017 helping to turn that downturn around.
