Renault commercial vehicles enjoys record June result

French manufacturer enjoying sales boom in Australia in 2016

The light commercial vehicle (LCV) market used to be dominated by the Japanese manufacturers, increasingly though it’s the Europeans that are gaining a bigger slice of the pie.

Renault’s LCV range has just enjoyed a record sales month with more than 500 Renault van deliveries in Australia in June.

In total, 510 Renault vans were delivered with the Kangoo finding 123 new owners, the Trafic scoring 245 sales and the Master achieving 124 deliveries.

Lyndon Healey from Renault LCV says the 510 sales eclipsed the previous monthly sales record of 490 vans (June 2015).

“We ran a strong campaign in May and June and the results have shown that the market is very receptive to Renault’s LCV models and our market-competitive offers,”

“In addition, we’re building on 18 years of market leadership in Europe and five years of continual strong growth in Australia.

“In fact, our growth year-to-date is 38%, with a total of 2,386 deliveries, which exceeds our full year sales as recently as 2013.”
