Rare chance to own Audi driven by Princess Diana

1994 Audi Cabriolet goes to auction

The 20-year anniversary of her death has just passed and now comes a rare opportunity to own one of the cars that Diana, Princes of Wales, used to drive.

Going under the hammer at Coys Auctions in the UK this weekend is this 1994 Audi Cabriolet.

The Audi was loaned to the Princess for her personal use by an Audi dealership in the UK and is tipped to make between £35,000 and £40,000 ($58,000 and $70,000 AUD).

The auction house tells us the car still has the same registration as when it was being used by Princess Diana (below image courtesy of The Sun).

Also going up for action is a 1926 Bugatti Type 37 with only two owners since 1940.

The Bugatti is expected to raise bids of up to around £600,000 (one million AUD).

The sale will also feature a 1950 Austin A90 Atlantic Convertible, formerly owned by King Farouk of Egypt, a 1938 Bentley 4¼ Litre MR Overdrive, and a 1966 Ferrari 330 GT 2+2.

While a rare 1962 Jaguar E-Type Roadster that has been in one family from new is expected to fetch more than $300,000 AUD.

We may not have cars once driven by celebrities, but we do have some pretty cool cars available now at Motor Classifieds. Check out the latest car sales listings.
