Range Rover Velar officially unveiled

Fourth member of Range Rover family set for production…

The Range Rover line-up will soon welcome this all-new offering – the Range Rover Velar.

Sitting in between the Evoque and the Range Rover Sport, Land Rover officially took the covers off the new addition to the Range Rover family this morning.

The British SUV/4×4 brand telling us this is a new type of Range Rover for a new type of customer.

Range Rover Velar Key Data:

  • Range of six engines – four-cylinder and V6 petrol and diesel options
  • All wheel drive – standard
  • Eight-speed auto transmission - standard
  • Seating for five
  • 632 litres of cargo space
  • Towing capacity – 2,500kg

Jaguar Land Rover UK Managing Director, Jeremy Hicks, says the Velar is the SUV customers have been asking for.

“It brings increased choice to new and existing customers in a growing SUV market and leads the way in terms of design, usable technology, new materials and our legendary go anywhere, do anything capability.”

The Range Rover Velar goes on sale in Europe mid-year, we can expect it in Australia late 2017.
