All of the affected vehicles were sold in Australia between the 20th of December 2015 and the 27th of July 2016.

The recall notice advises that in some heavy-duty trucks with rear tandem-axle and leaf suspensions, the shape of the radius rod brackets mounted to the trunnion cross member is incorrect.

The input from the radius rod during driving may deform the cross member, and the bolts securing the cross member and reinforcement may become loose.

What are the hazards?

If the vehicle continues to be used in this condition, the bolts may break and the cross member and reinforcement may crack.

In the worst case, the fastener for the radius rod may be disengaged from the cross member, which impairs the driving stability, posing an accident risk for the vehicle occupants and other road users.

What should affected Fuso owners do?

Owners are requested to contact an authorised FUSO Truck & Bus Dealership to arrange an inspection and repair of the vehicle.
