A recall of Peugeot 2008 vehicles sold in Australia is underway after a potential issue with the parking brake was identified.
The Peugeot 2008 recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).
The ACCC recall notice advising that on affected vehicles, the travel of the parking brake lever might have been incorrectly set. This situation could lead to the parking brake being ineffective unless the customer pulls up the lever all the way.
Unintended vehicle movement may pose a risk of injury to persons or damage to property.
Peugeot Automobiles Australia will write directly to affected Peugeot 2008 owners with information on returning the vehicle to a Peugeot dealership for free repairs.
