The good times continued for Mercedes-Benz cars in October 2017 with the Stuttgart-based vehicle manufacturer reporting record car sales in the month.
In total, 182,812 new Mercedes-Benz vehicles were handed over to customers in the month, a healthy 5.6% lift on the same month last year.
The strong global sales come despite a disappointing 17.7% dip in local Mercedes-Benz car sales in October.
Despite that reduction, local Mercedes-Benz sales are still 4.9% ahead of where they were at the same point last year.
On the global stage, Mercedes-Benz sold over 1.9 million cars across the first ten months of 2017 and that represents a phenomenal 11.1% increase on the 2016 total for the period.
Driving much of the growth is the increased demand for Mercedes-Benz cars and SUVs in China.
Mercedes-Benz reports a 27.8% lift in sales in the nation January to October.
“In China, more customers have already been delighted to receive their new Mercedes-Benz than in the whole of last year.” – Mercedes-Benz Sales Chief, Britta Seeger.
While some of the best-selling Mercedes-Benz models in 2017 include the E-Class (+50%), while collective SUV sales are ahead nearly 14%.
