Nissan ups 2018 QASHQAI production

Twice as many QASHQAIs being built

It’s one of the world’s bestselling SUVs and now Nissan has moved to make sure the new Nissan QASHQAI is able to meet expected strong demand.

The 2018 Nissan QASHQAI welcomes a number of changes designed to help the model take the fight up to small SUV rivals like the Mazda CX-3 and Mitsubishi ASX.

Those changes include exterior styling tweaks, improved interior, better driving performance and the new Nissan ProPILOT autonomous driving capability.

Also coming to the new Nissan LEAF, the tech controls steering, acceleration and braking functions when travelling on single lane highways and during heavy traffic congestion.

With all that and the QASHQAI’s already very good reputation for quality and value for money, Nissan’s UK plant is now building the model on a second production line.

Despite the new-generation Nissan QASHQAI being on the horizon for Australia, local sales in June remained extremely strong.

VFACTS data shows 1,510 QASHQAIs were delivered to new Aussie owners last month, 12.8% more than the same month last year.

We’ll bring you updated Australian availability, pricing and specification details as they come to hand in our Nissan QASHQAI News section.
