Next-gen Skoda Superb scores top safety score - the 2016 Skoda Superb will land with top safety credentials.

Australian Skoda dealerships will have an all-new Skoda Superb on forecourts in 2016 and the new model will boast top safety credentials.

Just awarded a full five-star rating by the European crash test authority – Euro NCAP, the new Superb picked up points for its occupant protection for adults and children, pedestrian protection and safety assistance systems.

Those safety systems in the new Skoda Superb include up to nine air-bags, Front Assist with City Emergency Brake, Blind Spot Detect, Rear Traffic Alert, Traffic Jam Assist and Emergency Assist.

The new Skoda Superb is also the first Skoda model to boast masked high beam (Smart Light Assist) lighting, which Skoda says provides significantly more safety.

Finally, the new model is built on an all-new chassis and features a more rigid body with specifically optimised crumple zones.

We will keep you updated on Australian availability, pricing and final specification details ahead of the new Skoda Superb’s Australian arrival next year.
