Next-gen Audi A4 and A4 Avant unveiled - the new Audi A4 Avant will feature an electric luggage compartment cover and electric tailgate as standard.

The new-generation of the top-selling Audi A4/A4 Avant has been shown off in Europe ahead of the new models arrival in Australia next year.

While generally sticking firm with that tried and true A4 styling with the new model, for the new one Audi has focussed on efficiency gains through improved aerodynamics and significant weight savings.

How significant? Try up to an impressive 120kgs!

Fuel and emissions savings have also been made with the introduction of updated engines, the new Audi A4 range to feature three turbo-petrol and four turbo-diesel power plants. In all, Audi talking about fuel use reductions of up to 21%.

When the 2016 Audi A4 and A4 Avant arrive in dealerships they will also feature updated automatic transmissions too. While you can also expect the latest tech to feature as well, Audi promising a new intuitive MMI display, Matrix LED headlights and Bang & Olufsen Sound System with 3D sound.
