New telematics system for Mercedes-Benz Trucks

Brisbane Truck Show launch for Australian-developed telematics…

Mercedes-Benz Trucks is the latest truck manufacturer to bring an in-house telematics system to the Australian market with a Brisbane Truck Show debut lined-up.

The software that powers the system was developed in Australia for Australia according to Mercedes-Benz Trucks and comes with features that assist both the fleet operator and driver.

Those features include real time data on location, driving behaviour, and alerts such as over-speeding, sudden braking instances and geofence breaches.

All new-generation Mercedes-Benz Trucks come as standard with the telematics hardware, while the system can also be retrofitted to selected earlier models.

Mercedes-Benz Truck and Bus Director Michael May tells us the new system brings huge advantages.

“We are very excited to introduce Mercedes-Benz Telematics to our Australian customers,”

“It is a fantastic innovative fleet management product that we believe will deliver a whole raft of benefits for our customers.”

We will bring you more details on the new Mercedes-Benz telematics system from the Brisbane Truck Show later this week.
