All-new Kia Picanto makes official debut

Australia-bound Kia Picanto shown in Geneva…

By Kia Australia’s own admission, the Kia Picanto in local dealerships at the moment is not exactly the freshest thing in the shop window.

Introduced to Australia last April to help build the models profile, the current-series Picanto dates back as far as 2011.

But, this all-new Kia Picanto is the one that Kia has been waiting for, and has high hopes for.

Just debuting at the Geneva Motor Show now, Kia tell us the Australia-bound new model brings a new, more youthful and energetic character to the micro-car segment.

The big additions include a new ‘floating’ seven-inch touchscreen, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and even a wireless charging system.

While larger proportions bring more cabin space and a bigger boot.

Eleven fresh exterior paint colours and a range of interior colour packs are also set to be offered.

We will bring you more details on the all-new Kia Picanto as they come to hand, including Australian availability, pricing and final specification details, in our Kia Picanto News section.
