Late 2017 arrival confirmed for new-generation Jeep Compass…

The next-generation Jeep Compass is about to go into production and will arrive in Australia late next year.

FCA Australia today confirmed the new model will be produced in Brazil, and Australia will be one of 100 global markets that will receive the next-generation Jeep Compass.

The model will be built with as many as seventeen different powertrains, at this stage though there is no confirmation of which engines/transmissions will be offered here.

FCA telling us the new model will offer best-in-class 4×4 off-road capability, advanced fuel-efficient powertrains, and a premium and authentic Jeep design.

While the new Jeep Compass is also promising superior on-road driving dynamics, open-air freedom, and a host of safety and advanced technology offerings.

The announcement that the new model is still around 12 months away for Australia comes as Jeep Compass sales have all but stalled in recent times.

In August, Jeep dealerships delivered just 68 new Jeep Compass SUVs to buyers, that number down 48.9% on the same month last year.

While 2016 Jeep Compass sales in Australia have receded by 58.2%.
