Moving from the Philippines to Australia will be Yoshiaki Kato and he will assume the role of Chief Executive Coordinator, working alongside Mr Signoriello.
President and Chief Executive of Mitsubishi Motors, Osamu Masuko, tells us the moves are good for both operations.
“We are strengthening and diversifying our management team around the world, ensuring that we seize future growth opportunities in important markets such as the Philippines and Australia.”
Mr Signoriello takes the reins of Mitsubishi in Australia at a good time – sales in 2017 are up 6.5% on the same period last year.
While VFACTS data shows models like the Pajero Sport (+ 76.2%), Outlander (+41.1%) and ASX (+3.0%) are all finding larger numbers of Australian SUV/4×4 buyers.
