New turbo engine for XE, XF, F-PACE
Already confirmed for Jaguar F-TYPE, the new engine boasts very healthy outputs – 221kW and 400Nm.
That’s a serious upgrade over the current 2.0 litre turbo-petrol available in Jaguar models such as the XE, which gives just 147kW/280Nm.
While the new engine will also use less fuel (just under 7.0L/100km combined) and emits less CO2 as well.
Nick Rogers is the Executive Director of Product Engineering at Jaguar, he tells us the new engine is a significant step forward.
“Our new 221kW petrol engine provides the performance synonymous with Jaguar,”
“This clean and more efficient engine perfectly complements the advanced lightweight aluminium body structure of our XE, XF and F-PACE models.”
