Multiple Indian Motorcycle Models Recalled

A number of Indian Motorcycle models have been recalled because of concerns that unburned fuel could find it’s way into the exhaust system, which can then cause elevated exhaust temperatures.

Elevated exhaust temperatures could pose a fire hazard.

The following models good be affected:

  • 2014 - 2016 Chief Classic
  • 2015 - 2016 Chief Darkhorse
  • 2014 - 2016 Chief Vintage
  • 2014 - 2016 Chieftain
  • 2016 Chieftain Darkhorse
  • 2015 - 2016 Springfield
  • 2015 - 2016 Roadmaster

All affected bikes were manufactured on or before June 10, 2020, and the list includes the Chieftain Darkhorse that has only just been released.

Anyone who believes they own one of the affected models should contact their nearest Indian Dealer to arrange for inspection and repair.
