The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV has now been purchased by 100,000 car buyers across the globe.

Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV passes sales milestoneLaunched in 2012, the plug-in hybrid SUV has claimed 2,015 sales in Australia, 33,730 sales in Japan and there’s been over 44,000 customer deliveries of the Mitsubishi model in Europe.

With more than 21,000 sales in the UK, one of the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV’s top three markets, Lance Bradley, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Motors UK, said any way you look at it the Outlander plug-in hybrid has been a great success.

“To reach this milestone is a fantastic achievement, which really underlines Outlander PHEV’s global appeal.

“Consumers in the UK have overwhelmingly made it their preferred choice for ultra-low emission motoring too. It is by far the nation’s leading plug-in vehicle.”

The Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is priced from $47,490.
