Mitsubishi hybrid SUV Concept to show in Paris

Another step towards the new-generation of Mitsubishi SUV models will be made this month with Mitsubishi set to show its Ground Tourer GT-PHEV Concept at the Paris Motor Show.

The plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) has been described by the Japanese car company as a comfortable, high-end cruiser capable of handling a range of different road surfaces and conditions with traditional Japanese craftsmanship, muscular styling and functional beauty.

The concept model also shows the next-generation of Mitsubishi’s hybrid system and features three electric motors (one at the front and two in the rear) and boasts an all-electric range of 120 kilometres.

While the hybrid system, incorporating a petrol-powered ‘range extender’ sees the Mitsubishi SUV enjoy a cruising range of more than 1,200km, according to Mitsubishi.
