Mercedes-Benz flagship priced from $449,000 in Australia.
Australian car buyers looking to make a statement will soon have the new Mercedes-Maybach S 600 to test drive and if looking turns to buying then $449,000 is the starting price.
The flagship of the Mercedes-Benz range, the luxury saloon offers just about everything and anything you could want or imagine and is said to be the world’s quietest production saloon car (if you’re sitting in the backseat).
At a hulking 5453 mm long and with a wheelbase of 3365 mm, the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 is 20 cm larger than the long wheelbase Mercedes-Benz S-Class, which means plenty of rear legroom!
Under the bonnet is a 390kW/830Nm bi-turbo V12 engine that moves the big saloon from 0-100km/h in just 5.0 seconds, remarkable.
Standard features in the Mercedes-Maybach S 600 include;
Handcrafted fine-wood trim
Exclusive nappa leather upholstery
Individually adjustable multi-contour seats with massage function
24 speaker/24 channel 1540 watt Burmester® 3D surround sound system
And, if you are more accustomed to having your own driver, the Mercedes-Maybach even comes with a built-in microphone system to help with driver/passenger communications.
Professor Dr Thomas Weber, Member of the Board of Management of Daimler AG with responsibility for Group Research and Mercedes-Benz Cars Development, has used the word ‘perfection’ to describe the new luxury saloon.
“Perfection down to the last detail and a new dimension in seating and resting comfort for the rear passengers are the hallmarks of the new Mercedes-Maybach,”
“Our exceptionally successful new S-Class already defines the pinnacle of automotive engineering in a host of technical disciplines such as safety, efficiency, climate control and noise characteristics.”
“The Mercedes-Maybach now sets the benchmark in the luxury segment even higher.”
