2014 Mercedes-Benz models recalled over possible air-bag fault.
Mercedes-Benz Australia is contacting twenty recent customers who purchased Mercedes-Benz SL-Class and SLK-Class models which may have been fitted with a potentially faulty air-bag.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission recall notice, which is overseeing the Mercedes-Benz SL and SLK-Class recall, says that in the unlikely event of an accident, which may result in the deployment of the front passenger side dash mounted air-bag, small pieces of the airbag module may break free.
If the defect occurs, the small components may cause injury to the vehicle occupants.
The vehicles affected were sold between the 1st of March and the 30th of May this year and a letter is being sent to owners of affected vehicles.
