The new 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe will join the updated GLE-Class SUV in Australian Mercedes-Benz showrooms in September.

Mercedes-Benz has just confirmed pricing and specification details for the new Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. Offered in three specification levels – 350d, 450 AMG and the top-spec Mercedes-AMG 63 S, starting prices will range from between $121,900 and $198,900.

Each model will be offered with a different engine, ranging from the base-model’s 190kW/620Nm six-cylinder, to a 270kW/520Nm bi-turbo six in the 450 AMG, the Mercedes-AMG 63 S gets a 5.5 litre V8 engine that produces 430kW/760Nm and a 0/100km/h time of 4.2 seconds!

The entry-level 350d boasts standard inclusions such as AIRMATIC Air suspension, 21” AMG Wheels, sat-nav, powered tailgate, Harman Kardon sound system, and Nappa Leather upholstery with heated and electronically adjustable AMG Line sports front seats.

Featuring the sporty nature of a coupé with the characteristics of an SUV, Mercedes-Benz board member, Dr Thomas Weber, says the new-generation GLE Coupe redefines the possibilities of modern luxury.

“Our GLE Coupé combines typical coupé attributes, such as sportiness, dynamism and agility, with the confident presence, versatility and robustness of an SUV.”
