Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 recalled over software issue

A total of 286 Mercedes-Benz GLE-Class vehicles are being recalled after a possible engine software fault was identified.

Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 recalled over software issueAffecting Mercedes-Benz GLE-450 models, the recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The affected vehicles were sold in Australia between the 1st of June 2015 and the 31st of May 2016.

The ACCC recall notice advising that due to a software concern within the engine control unit the engine may stall when braking at low speed.

The engine stalling may cause a hazard to the vehicle occupants and other road users.

A letter will be sent to owners of affected Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
