2015 World Car of the Year award goes to Mercedes-Benz C-Class.

Mercedes-Benz C-Class wins World Car of the Year - the C-Class beat home the Ford Mustang and VW Passat to win the top award.

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class has been named World Car of the Year at the New York International Auto Show.

Beating home a strong field of finalists, including the Ford Mustang and Volkswagen Passat to take the top award, Mercedes-Benz also won World Luxury Car of the Year award for the S-Class Coupe and the Mercedes-AMG picked up the award for World Performance Car 2015.

Judged by an international jury of 75 renowned automotive journalists, other winners this year included the BMW i8, which was named World Green Car of the Year.

While, the Citroen C4 Cactus won the award for World Car Design of the Year with the judges naming the new Citroen a “breath of fresh air.”
