Mercedes-AMG Unveil 2017 E 43 4MATIC

The new Mercedes‑Benz E-Class will arrive in Australian dealerships a little later in the year and with it will be a more powerful Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC.

The sporty new E-Class model will boast a new 3.0 litre V6 bi-turbo that produces a healthy 295kW (25kW up on the current model) and 520Nm. Mercedes-AMG talking a 0-100km/h sprint in just 4.6 seconds.

While Mercedes-AMG are also promising a sharer transmission with shorter shift times, improved air suspension set-up and more direct steering.

In confirming the technical details on the new offering, Tobias Moers, CEO of Mercedes-AMG, said the new E 43 is going to be worth the wait.

“The new E 43 4MATIC offers impressive driving dynamics coupled with cutting-edge efficiency.

“Twin turbocharging, features adopted from motorsport and the characteristic AMG design immediately indicate to our customers that the new E‑Class from AMG offers pure Driving Performance coupled with cutting-edge technology and intense emotion.”

The new Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC will debut at the New York International Auto Show this month and we will keep you updated with Australian pricing, availability and final specification details when confirmed by Mercedes-Benz Australia.
