Mazda2 sedan returns to Australia later in the year.
After a five year absence, Mazda has just confirmed that the Mazda2 sedan will return to Australian dealerships later in the year.
Mazda hasn’t yet confirmed what the price difference will be between the popular hatchback variant and the new Mazda2 sedan, though we do know that it will be offered with the same two 1.5 litre petrol engines, delivering either 79kW/139Nm or 81kW/141Nm.
Transmission choice for 2015 Mazda2 sedan buyers will be either six-speed manual or six-speed automatic.
Mazda Australia boss Martin Benders said the new offering should only help increase sales for the top-selling light car.
“When we first saw the design for the Mazda2 sedan we decided it was a must-have car.”
“Often B-segment sedans can lack style and design flow, but we believe the Mazda2 sedan is the best looking of its type in its segment.”
“Having a stylish sedan on sale alongside a sporty hatch provides even more choice to light car buyers.”
