The sales data is in and Mazda has claimed bragging rights by having the nation’s top-selling small and medium SUVs in February 2017.

In a market that saw SUV sales overtake passenger cars for the time ever in Australia (details here), Mazda’s CX-3 chewed up 20% of the total small SUV category, while big-sister, the CX-5, managed a 16% share.

Remarkably, Mazda is about to bring to the Australian market a new-generation version of the CX-5 (details here).

Interestingly, in the small SUV category, Toyota’s C-HR made a strong debut with more than 300 sales.
