
Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio recalled over door lock issue.

A total of nine Maserati GranTurismo and GranCabrio vehicles sold in Australia will be required back at a Maserati dealership to have a potentially dangerous issue with the door latches attended to.
The Maserati door latch recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer and affects MY16 models of the Maserati vehicles.
Insufficient heat treatment has been applied to Maserati door latches.
The ACCC recall notice saying that the vehicles have been manufactured with door latch mechanisms with insufficient heat treatment.
In the event of a vehicle accident the doors may open involuntarily, increasing the risk of injury to the occupants.
Owners will receive a letter instructing them to contact their preferred Maserati Motor Dealer.
