Tennis star Sharapova hosts US Porsche tennis tournament.
Some of the big names of tennis were on display at a tennis event in Los Angeles at the weekend, but it was the new 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera that stole the show.
‘Maria Sharapova & Friends, presented by Porsche’ featured big name tennis stars, such as former World No. 1 Andy Roddick and Britain’s Laura Robson. Naturally, Sharapova was also on display as part of her role as Porsche Global Brand Ambassador.
Klaus Zellmer, President and CEO of Porsche Cars North America, says the event was the perfect setting to showcase the new 911 Carrera.
“Maria Sharapova is an exceptional athlete. She truly combines superior performance in her sports with power and elegance. These are the exact characteristics that are conveyed in our sports cars.”
Featuring the new Porsche twin-turbo engine boasting up to 313kW, the new 2017 Porsche 911 Carrera will arrive in Australia in the second half of next year. We will keep you updated with info on Australian pricing, specifications and availability.
