$10,000 sliced off the price tag of Volvo’s recently launched hot sedan.
Volvo says they’ve responded to customer feedback on the pricing of the S60 Polestar, knocking ten-grand off the price and upping performance levels and other features.
Announcing the significant price cut on the turbo-charged and AWD model, Volvo Car Australia Managing Director Matt Baird said the $10,000 reduction makes the S60 Polestar more accessible to buyers.
“We are fully committed to the S60 Polestar and said at the very start of this journey that we would listen carefully to feedback in order to make this car a success and capitalise on our V8 Supercars program.”
“We believe this realignment, combined with the improvements of the next-generation car; make the Volvo S60 Polestar a truly viable alternative in the high-performance, luxury sedan segment.”
The S60 Polestar will benefit from improvements, including a bigger turbo, new inter-cooler, revised engine mapping and racing exhaust.
The hot Volvo will now boast 257kW and 500Nm.
While chassis upgrades include modifications to increase the rigidity of the chassis and the S60 Polestar will now boast six-piston Brembo calipers and 370mm ventilated floating discs.
The Volvo S60 Polestar is now priced from $99,950.
