Mahindra launches new EV model

The future of the Mahindra car company will include an increasing array of electric models.

Currently offering the seven-seat XUV500 SUV, Genio ute and Pik-Up Single/Dual Cab range in Australia, Mahindra has just unveiled the new e20 Plus in India.

The new offering becomes the fourth EV to be rolled out by Mahindra Electric in the company’s home market.

In revealing the new model, Mahindra said the e20 Plus will serve as a base as the turning point for the electric vehicles in the country and is intended to serve all the basic needs for families.

Mahindra launches new EV modelThe Mahindra e20 Plus is powered by two lithium-ion batteries that produce a total of 49kW and 161Nm and the car company says it is a practical, spacious and stylish electric vehicle.

The Indian car company telling us the model will feature a normal driving range of around 110kms from a charge.

With plans to bring electric cars to Australia in coming years, Mahindra has also been developing its electric car technologies in recent years in the FIA Formula E championship.
