Lexus overhauls CT 200h

Hybrid model gets new look and strengthened body.

The Lexus CT 200h will receive a number of changes for 2014 as Lexus tries to give the model a more dynamic look and feel.

A relative sales success, the CT 200h has been given an exterior make-over for the New Year, along with re-tuned suspension and, thanks to additional welding and body strengthening measures, a more rigid feel.

Lexus say the new model also boasts a quieter cabin, new larger 370mm steering wheel, new seat and door trim fabrics and an upgraded central multimedia display screen.

While final Australian pricing and specifications for the upgraded CT 200h are yet to be confirmed, Lexus Australia chief executive Sean Hanley said the improvements add further appeal to the hybrid model.

“The changes to CT 200h are more than skin deep; the depth of improvements go right to the heart of the model, improving its overall dynamic capabilities, driveability and visual appeal,”

“The upgraded CT also reinforces Lexus’ commitment to delivering engaging design and enjoyable dynamics across our entire product line-up.”

The cabin gets improved sound-proofing and new fabrics.
