Kumho Tyres Win 2016 Design Awards

Two wins for Kumho Tyres at 2016 iF Design Awards.

Kumho Tyres has won two awards in the ‘transport device’ category at the 2016 iF Design Awards in Germany.

Organised by the International Forum Design of Germany the iF awards are considered one of the top three design prizes given annually, this year the two Kumho Tyres products - Kumho Ecsta HS81 and Kumho Solus HA31 were triumphant.

The prestigious annual iF accolade is generally regarded as one of the world’s top three design prizes.

Taek-Gyun Jeong, Senior Managing Director at Kumho Tire R&D headquarters in Korea, welcomed the prestigious awards.

“The receipt of the iF Design Award is yet more global recognition of the excellence and innovativeness of our designs,”

“As tyre design is closely linked to performance, we will continue striving to enhance our related capabilities in order to develop products that set us apart from our competitors.”

The Kumho Ecsta HS81 was designed for use on premium luxury passenger cars, primarily in Asia and the Kumho Solus HA31 features sidewall icons depicting the sun, snow and cloud in recognition of the tyre’s all-weather performance and is the latest all-season solution for the European market.
