Kia Picanto named most dependable city car

Kia’s smallest offering the Picanto has been deemed the most dependable city car in the UK by J.D. Power.

The 2016 UK Vehicle Dependability Study looks at problems experienced by owners  over the past 12 months and rates them on a scale of problems per 100 vehicles.

The Kia Picanto proved to be the most reliable with the least number of problems be hundred vehicles ahead of fellow micro cars Suzuki Alto and Volkswagen Up!.

Meanwhile Kia itself has been named the third most dependable brand behind Škoda and Suzuki, making it a podium finish for the second year in a row.

CEO of Kia Motors UK Paul Philpott says the little car has achieved big things.

“This news is fantastic for the Picanto and for our brand; the result is a testament to the Picanto’s rigorous development and build quality.”
