Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk confirmed for Australia

Second quarter 2017 arrival for new beefed-up Grand Cherokee…

The Jeep Grand Cherokee range will welcome a sixth model in 2017 with FCA this afternoon confirming the Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk is coming to Australia.

Set to land in the second quarter of 2017, the Trailhawk edition will boast features including an electronic limited slip diff, Jeep’s new Quadra-Drive II 4×4 system, and improved under-body protection.

While the 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee Trailhawk also gets Quadra-Lift air suspension for added articulation and suspension travel, as well as Selec-Speed Control with Hill Ascent Control.

While still not confirmed, the Jeep 3.6 litre Pentastar V6 petrol engine is likely to be the standard engine available, though FCA could be bringing the EcoDiesel 3.0 litre V6 and/or Hemi V8 engines to the model in Australia as well, we will keep you updated.

The Trailhawk is the most capable off-road model in the Grand Cherokee line-up.

Meantime, styling and interior details will set the Trailhawk apart from the other Grand Cherokee models, including:

  • Anti-glare bonnet decal
  • Unique front fascia and seven-slot Jeep grille
  • Trailhawk-signature red tow hooks (front and rear)
  • 18” off-road tyres with Kevlar reinforcement
  • Trailhawk and Trail Rated badges with red accents
  • Unique black interior
  • Leather and suede performance seats
  • Red accent stitching
  • Gun-metal finish on painted interior parts
  • Trailhawk steering wheel badge

Australian Trailhawk buyers also look set to be offered a choice of six exterior paint colours - Redline Red, Billet Silver, Bright White, Rhino, Granite Crystal, Velvet Red and Diamond Black Crystal.
