The AWD versions of the F-Jaguar Type will be distinguishable by a deeper ‘power bulge’on the bonnet and distinctive air vents.

Jaguar has released some key information regarding the 2016 version of the F-Type, the most interesting revelation being that the model will be offered with AWD.

Arriving around the middle of next year, the AWD option is a first for the model. Ian Hoban, Vehicle Line Director at Jaguar Land Rover says the new drivetrain takes the F-Type a whole step further.

“Our target with engineering the all-wheel drive Jaguar F-Type was to maintain that engaging rear-drive character that’s so important to Jaguar sports car DNA, yet offer even greater dynamic capability.

“The result is a controllable, exploitable and blisteringly fast performance car in all weather and road conditions.”

Meantime, a new six-speed manual transmission option will also come online for V6 versions in the new model.

In Australia, the Jaguar F-Type is priced from $119,430 and you can catch our most recent F-Type review here.
