Isuzu continues light truck dominance in US

There’s been a significant increase in light truck sales in the US and the Isuzu N-Series has managed to maintain its dominance of the market.

Isuzu Commercial Truck of America data shows that in 2015 commercial registrations of low-cab-forward trucks in Classes 3-5 increased 9.3% to 21,995.

That figure representing a near 100% increase in sales in the category since 2010.

In releasing the data, Isuzu said it managed to claim around an 80% share of the market during the sharp increase in deliveries of both petrol and diesel powered cabover models in the category.

While last December Isuzu registrations reached 84.6%, with Hino grabbing 10.3% of the market and the Mitsubishi Fuso reached a 5.1% share.

Up until last July Mitsubishi Fuso had been the long-time number two ranked brand in the sales race.
