Infiniti celebrates best May result ever

New global sales record set by Infiniti…

Infiniti car sales in Australia in May were pretty bleak, however things are starting to really look up for the Nissan-owned sports/luxury brand on the bigger stage.

The VFACTS data shows only 37 Infiniti vehicles were sold to Australian customers in the month, a number down just under 34% on the same month last year.

The decline bucks the upward trend for Infiniti locally this year, sales are still ahead 16.8% over the same five-months of 2016.

Regarding the global stage, Infiniti has just reported 19,565 sales in the month and that number represents the brand’s 13th consecutive global sales record.

Global Infiniti sales were up 9% in May 2017.

While across the first five months of the year there has been a very healthy 37% increase in demand for Infiniti vehicles.

Infiniti boss Roland Krueger welcomed the strong global results.

“It’s gratifying that discerning customers around the world continue to want to drive Infiniti cars and SUVs, especially in the Americas, our largest region, and in China, the region with the most growth potential.”
