Honda tweaks the Civic sedan range

Added extras and reduced prices aim to increase Civic sedan sales.

The Honda Civic VTi now starts under $20,000.

It’s a bit of a ‘love it or loathe’ kind of car, now Honda is trying to breathe a bit more life into the Civic sedan line-up.

Announced today by Honda Australia, the changes include a $1000 price reduction on the entry-level VTi, $700 has been sliced off the base price of the other three Civic sedan variants – VTi-L, VTi-LN and Sport.

Buyers also pick up a host of new standard features including;

  • New black cloth trim
  • Halogen daytime running lights
  • Illuminated vanity mirror

Honda has also added a new metallic paint colour – Twilight Blue, while the Civic VTi-L gains automatic rain sensing wipers and a reversing camera and the VTi-L and VTi-LN (navigation) both add a leather wrapped steering wheel and six-speaker audio system with two front tweeters.

Honda Australia Director Stephen Collins says the changes are all about driving added sales.

“The Civic is one of Honda’s most well-known nameplates around the world. This upgrade in specification and features for a lower price adds even more value to the popular and loved vehicle.”

The Honda Civic sedan range now starts at $19,490.
