The Honda Foundation helps out carers

As we recently mentioned, The Honda Foundation has donated a Honda Odyssey to the Sutherland Shire Carer Support Service.

The Honda Foundation helps out carersThe people mover was provided with the help of Tynan Honda and will help the not-for-profit organisation continue their work in the community by providing transport to social opportunities for carers, and help access the community more easily.

The Sutherland Shire Carer Support Service offers support to unpaid carers of people with a disability, mental illness, dementia or a chronic illness.

Chairman of The Honda Foundation Stephen Collins says all companies should support the community.

“This is a service that is often overlooked and we are very proud to support such an invaluable organisation assist the community and achieve their goals.”

The Honda Foundation recently celebrated 20 years of service and Carer Support Service Manager Tracy Sami has welcomed the generous donation.
