There had been rumours that the new offering would only be offered to Australian large car buyers as a sedan, however Holden says that certainly won’t be the case.
In announced the new 2018 Holden Commodore Sportwagon, a model based on the Opel Insignia Sports Tourer (pictured), Holden says the Sportwagon is spacious, refined and will offer exemplary safety.
While under the bonnet, Commodore station wagon buyers will be offered the same engines/drivetrains as the sedan – including four-cylinder petrol and diesel options and the 230kW V6/AWD flagship variant.
The new car will weigh about 200kg less than a current Commodore.
The NG Holden Commodore Sportwagon will debut (in Opel guise) at the Geneva Motor Show next month and Holden says we can expect it in local dealers next year.
