Holden Colorado 7 recalled over seat issue

Second row seat in Colorado 7 needs attention

There’s a recall of Holden Colorado 7 vehicles underway after it was found the model may have a potentially dangerous backseat fault.

Affecting the 2015 and 2016 RG series of the Holden Colorado 7, the affected vehicles were built between the 10th of October 2015 and the 1st of June 2016.

Those vehicles carry VINs within this range: MMU156MK0GH621311 to MMU156FK0GH651822.

The latest Holden Colorado recall is being overseen by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The ACCC recall notice advising that the recliner mechanisms fitted to the 2nd row (60% side, with left and centre seats) may not lock correctly when the seat back is placed into the upright position.

In the event the recliner mechanisms do not lock correctly, the seat back may move unintentionally in certain crash events.

This may pose a risk of increased injury for a vehicle occupant.

Holden will write to all affected Holden Colorado 7 owners to notify them of required action.
