More Holden Barina Spark vehicles added to recall.
A recall of manual versions of the Holden Barina Spark has been expanded after it was found more vehicles may be affected.
Originally affecting 144 vehicles built in 2013, that total has now increased to 241 cars and some were built this year.
The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission is overseeing the expanded recall, which comes after it was found the transmission mount on the Holden Barina Spark may develop a fracture.
The ACCC Holden Barina Spark recall notice says this could lead to the transmission becoming unsupported, possibly causing serious damage to the vehicle and possibly posing a serious danger.
A letter is being sent to affected customers who are being asked to contact their nearest Holden dealership to arrange an inspection and rectification if necessary.
