Hino to bring 300 Series 4x4 to Australia

The top-selling Isuzu N-Series 4×4 is about to face another challenger with Hino today confirming its 300 Series range was about to welcome a 4×4 version.

Currently being trialled in some of the toughest terrain in Australia, the Hino 300 Series 4×4 will be launched shortly, according to the Japanese truck manufacturer.

Hino Australia Product Manager, Daniel Petrovoski, today confirmed that the 4×4 version would be coming soon to Hino dealerships and both single-cab and double-cab variants will be offered.

At this stage though there is no word on Australian pricing or specification details.

The Hino 300 Series range will soon welcome a 4×4 version.

When quizzed by Behind the Wheel on transmission choice, Mr Petrovski said that at this stage only a manual transmission looks likely to be offered.

This is in-line with the manual-only Isuzu N-Series 4×4.

While power for the new model is expected to come from a 139kW/510Nm diesel engine.

Mr Petrovski said Hino believes the 4×4 light truck market will continue to grow in coming years and said the manufacturer was looking to make a serious impact in the market.
