The top-selling Isuzu N-Series 4Ă—4 is about to face another challenger with Hino today confirming its 300 Series range was about to welcome a 4Ă—4 version.
Currently being trialled in some of the toughest terrain in Australia, the Hino 300 Series 4Ă—4 will be launched shortly, according to the Japanese truck manufacturer.
Hino Australia Product Manager, Daniel Petrovoski, today confirmed that the 4Ă—4 version would be coming soon to Hino dealerships and both single-cab and double-cab variants will be offered.
At this stage though there is no word on Australian pricing or specification details.
When quizzed by Behind the Wheel on transmission choice, Mr Petrovski said that at this stage only a manual transmission looks likely to be offered.
This is in-line with the manual-only Isuzu N-Series 4Ă—4.
While power for the new model is expected to come from a 139kW/510Nm diesel engine.
Mr Petrovski said Hino believes the 4Ă—4 light truck market will continue to grow in coming years and said the manufacturer was looking to make a serious impact in the market.
