Harley-Davidson Unleashes Its Super Heros

Harley-Davidson Australia and New Zealand and its dealers have joined forces with Marvel comics to unleash a collection of motorcycles inspired by some of the most powerful and iconic Marvel characters.

It all started with Harley-Davidson customising a Street Glide Special to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Captain America’s first appearance in a Marvel comic.

The company then inspired dealers across Australia and New Zealand to create their own Marvel character inspired custom motorcycle using the wider Harley-Davidson range.

The result is a collection of 27 custom motorcycles, each one uniquely designed to reflect the personality and traits of a Marvel Super Hero.

Some of the most popular Marvel characters and Harley-Davidson models are represented - a Groot-inspired Street Glide Special from the Touring range, a Thor-inspired Breakout from the Softail family, and a Black Widow-inspired Iron 883 from the Sportster family.

David Turney from Harley-Davidson says, “The results have been phenomenal. A true combination of super powers, with over 16 Marvel characters represented”.

And Gavin Ashcroft, CMO of the Walt Disney Company Australia/New Zealand said “It’s exciting to see such a rich legacy of iconic characters and their individual stories so creatively captured”.

Visitors to Oz Comic Con in Sydney (September 10 & 11, 2016) will be able to see a selection of bikes from the collection.

Sydney-siders can also check out the Captain America custom Harley-Davidson motorcycle which is on display at Myer in Pitt Street Mall until September 5th.

The full collection can be viewed at h-dmarvelcustoms.com.

Visitors to that website can vote for their favourite character, trait or bike and go in the draw for a chance to win the ultimate Harley-Davidson and Marvel holiday to Hollywood and Las Vegas.
