Goodyear welcomes new luxury sport tyre range to Australia

There’s a new tyre choice available to Australian drivers of premium vehicles with Goodyear Australia launching the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3.

The same tyre fitted to the new Jaguar XF, Goodyear is offering the new rubber in 28 different sizes ranging from 17” to 20″.

Goodyear Australia’s Cat Parker this afternoon telling Behind the Wheel the new tyres deliver strong grip for shorter braking and improved handling, thanks to new Grip Booster Technology.

“The technology features compound and adhesive resin for stickiness and they say the end result is an impressive 31% reduction in braking distances, in the wet and dry!

“With its improved grip and braking technology, the Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 demonstrates Goodyear’s brand promise of offering greater peace of mind, regardless of the destination.”

While Cat says owners can also expect to have to replace their rubber less frequently with the new Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 tyres.

“These tyres have been tested by independent organization DEKRA4, which resulted in a strong performance on tread wear compared to other premium tyres on the market.

“In fact, the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric 3 is projected to offer up to more than 31% better wear performance when compared to the average of three leading competitors.”

Goodyear is offering the new tyres in a range of sizes from 205/45R17 to 255/35R20.

  1. Great tyre, but I’d really like to know exactly what sizes Goodyear Australia has actually imported. There’s a long list on their website, but when you try to check on availability of some sizes (eg 255/35/18), they have absolutely no idea if and when they’ll ever get them!
