Honda is about to bring what it says are affordable mid-size plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles to car buyers across the globe with new variants of the Honda Clarity.

Already available with a hydrogen powertrain in several markets, including Japan and California, Honda will now expand the Clarity line-up to include plug-in hybrid and fully electric versions.

Those two additions to the Clarity will debut at next month’s New York Auto Show.

Honda wants two-thirds of its vehicles to be EVs by 2030.

In announcing that the hybrid and EV Honda Clarity would debut in New York, Honda also released the above teaser image.

Honda promising that the new offerings will boast the Honda ‘fun-to-drive’ DNA, along with providing a smooth, quiet and premium experience.

While it was also confirmed that the plug-in hybrid version will boast an all-electric driving range in excess of 65km (40 miles).

At this stage there is no confirmation of an Australian arrival of any of the Honda Clarity models, we will however bring you more Honda Clarity News as it comes to hand.
