Fuso Canter delivers for Victorian charity

Fuso Canter fleet a perfect fit for Diabetes Victoria.

Fuso Canter delivers for Victorian charity - car-like steering, auto transmission and class-leading tare weight means the Fuso Canter delivers the goods for Diabetes Victoria.

The Fuso Canter trucks in the Diabetes Victoria pre-loved clothes and small household collection and transport fleet are kicking goals, according to the Victorian charity.

Diabetes Victoria currently runs a fleet of nine current model Fuso Canter 615 trucks that have been fitted with Duonic dual-clutch automated transmissions and a reverse camera.

The trucks transport millions of dollars’ worth of clothes and items kindly donated to the not for profit organisation which funds diabetes research, children’s camps and support services.

Leased on a long-term plan via Hertz Trucks Australia, Diabetes Victoria Chief Executive Officer, Craig Bennett, says the fleet hasn’t missed a beat.

“Each truck does between 40 and 70 pick-ups per day, delivering to our Campbellfield warehouse or to the six Savers stores,”

“We have a great relationship with Hertz,”

“When a truck needs to be serviced, Hertz offers a temporary replacement truck to keep us going.

“As a charitable organisation, not having to buy trucks outright really suits the Diabetes Victoria business model.”
