Fuel pump recall on Mercedes-Benz E-Class

Mercedes-Benz E-Class models have been recalled over a fuel pump issue which could result in the stalling of the engine.

The German auto maker says the fuel pump module wiring harness may come in contact with the frame of the rear seat base, affecting the operation of various fuel system components.

This could lead to the fuel pump ceasing operation completely resulting in the engine stalling.

The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) is again overseeing the recall which applies to E-Class vehicles sold between 1 October 2020 and 31 August 2020.

Owners are advised Mercedes-Benz will contact them via mail with details on how to rectify the issue at an authorised Mercedes-Benz dealership.
