Fresh looks for 2018 Hyundai Accent

Big-selling Hyundai model gets 2018 make-over

The Hyundai Accent is not the newest or the flashiest car in the Hyundai line-up, but it’s continually one of the Korean brands best-selling models in Australia.

Consistently out-selling rivals like Mazda2 and Toyota Yaris, the Hyundai light-car could be an even more enticing proposition thanks to a 2018 update confirmed this afternoon by Hyundai Australia.

Best of all, especially at this end of the market, the update won’t come with a price increase.

So, what’s being changed on the 2018 Hyundai Accent?

Hyundai has given the car a new mesh-style grille, a more prominent front bumper, and new metallic silver headlight bezel.

There’s also some bright new paint colours on offer.

And on the inside?

Changes for 2018 include updated fonts on the speedo/tacho, new four-speaker stereo system, 5” touchscreen display (as seen below), Bluetooth connectivity and AUX/USB inputs.

And bringing the model up a few notches as well is the inclusion of Apple CarPlay.

Hyundai stopped short of making any mechanical changes to the car for 2018, however Hyundai Australia boss, Scott Grant, says the Accent is now an even more attractive proposition.

“Accent has never been such great value-for-money and stands as an impressive entry-point car to a great range of vehicles.”

The 2018 Hyundai Accent Sport is priced from $15,490 manual, and $17,490 auto.
