Ford Mustang Tweaked for 2017

Ford is promising Australian sports car buyers that we will receive more Ford Mustang vehicles this year, than last.

Selling out the total allotment of Ford Mustangs first up, Ford Australia has placed a larger order for the sports car model this year and are promising that an additional 2000 cars will be available, though that won’t be until quite late in the year.

Ford Mustang Tweaked for 2017With the extra cars will be some Ford Mustang tweaks for 2017.

Those changes include the new SYNC 3 infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto.

Three new paint colours are also being added; Lightning Blue, Grabber Blue and White Platinum Tri-Coat.

And the four-cylinder Mustang will also come with a spare wheel, GT models though miss-out, Ford telling us the models larger brakes don’t allow for the fitment of the spare wheel.

With no pricing changes for 2017, Ford Australia boss Graeme Whickman says he expects demand for the 2017 Ford Mustang will again be strong.

“The 2000 extra Mustangs heading for Australian shores demonstrates the excitement around the vehicle, and it validates Ford Australia’s commitment to invest in expanding our performance vehicle line-up to five models this year.”
